Another day, more storms
North Texas into Louisiana: tornado risk

The chance for severe storms is growing across the Metroplex and southern Oklahoma. The Storm Prediction Center has elevated the risk to Enhanced, this is level 3 out of 5 in the severity scale. Numerous thunderstorms could produce damaging winds, large hail, and a few tornadoes which could be strong (EF2 ).

Severe storms are approaching the Metroplex area. Expect the first cluster of storms to push over or just north of I-20 by 4 p.m. CT. Instability will continue to increase during the late afternoon and early evening hours with numerous thunderstorms pushing from the West to the east. These thunderstorms could develop very strong winds and a few tornadoes.

Severe thunderstorm risk for Sunday

The severe storms are courtesy of a shortwave pushing through the area with a general motion to the east-northeast. The plenty of moisture coming in from the Gulf of Mexico is allowing lifting in the atmosphere which Will continue to sustain the formation of severe storms. The evening will be active has to be thunderstorms will continue 2 can expect the great to diminish after midnight.

After 9:00 PM the threat of severe storms will be pushing across northeast Texas onto northwestern Louisiana. You can still expect the risk of damaging winds, hail, and a tornado or two.
