Summer lingers
Autumn missing from Texas

It remains hot across Texas today.

More heat records continue to fall across dry and hot Texas as autumn remains missing. No break is expected across most of the state this week.

It has been hot all autumn, with McAllen, Brownsville, Houston and Galveston, all setting new daily high records on Sunday as highs climb into the 90s. McAllen recorded a temperature of 100 degrees.

The TemperatureRadar shows similar records are for over the next several days as temperatures once again climb into the 90s, especially across Rio Grande Valley northward into central Texas.

Autumn has been missing across the Lone Star State this month with a drought expanding. The hot weather will not help the situation and the WeatherRadar shows no rain in the forecast for at least the next several days.
