Prepare for severe storms
Stormy Ohio Valley

A wild afternoon of strong storms are possible across the Ohio Valley and parts of the Midwest. Damaging winds, lightning and even a tornado is possible.

The WeatherRadar shows storms moving out of eastern Missouri this morning and sweeping across southern Illinois, northwestern Kentucky and southern Indiana. St Louis, Evansville and Indianapolis, Ind., and Louisville, Ky., could all see these storms today.

These early-season storms are fed by instability created by warm and humid air streaming northward from the Gulf. The WindRadar shows gusty southwesterly winds of 35 mph throughout the South and Mid-South.
