Cool down heads into Midwest

Tuesday breakfast brief

The start of the abbreviated work week is going to a stormy one across Texas, once again. Big weather changes, including cooler weather, are taking shape across the Upper Midwest that will spread across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast.

Otd: Athens, Ga., Tornado

OTD in 1973: An F3 tornado moved east and struck the northern portion of Athens, Ga. D. Damage from the storm included 545 homes and 17 businesses. Hundreds of large trees more than 100 years old were destroyed.

Today's weather outlook

The WeatherRadar is tracking several trouble spots on this Tuesday after the long Memorial Day Weekend.

A late-spring storm rolling out of the Upper Midwest will bring rain and thunderstorms to the Midwest and Great Lakes today. It will reach into New England after sunset. It will bring big temperature changes.
