Severe storm threat continues for South

More severe weather is in the forecast across the South as an upper level low clashes with warm moist air from the Gulf of Mexico. Rain and mountain snow will continue to impact the Pacific Northwest.

Coldest April temperature on record

The temperature at Eagles Nest, NM, plunged to 45 degrees below zero to establish an April record for the United States.

Today's weather outlook

The WeatherRadar will be active across Texas and the South today with another round of severe weather in the forecast. An enhanced risk, a level 3 out of 5 for severe storms, stretches from central Texas into western Louisiana. All types of severe weather will be possible, including damaging winds, hail, and tornadoes (some strong). Flash flooding is also a concern.

The Pacific Northwest will continue to see showers and mountain snow today as a front moves east into the Rockies. This system will dry out by tomorrow.
