Flood threats continue
Dicey in Dallas

Texas Department of Transportation

Commuters in Dallas are running into trouble as heavy rain brings flooding. Today, the flood risk extends from the Four Corners to the East Coast.

The WeatherRadar is already active this morning and heavy rain has led to flash flooding on I-635 in Dallas. Commuters will want to be wary of rising water this morning.

A stalled front draped from Texas into the Mid-Atlantic will spark off more showers and storms throughout the day. With rainfall rates up to 2 inches per hour, flash flooding is possible along this front. Cities such as Austin, Texas, Atlanta, Raleigh, N.C., Richmond, Va., and Washington, D.C., should be on alert for flash flooding today.

Monsoonal moisture may spark off flash flooding in the Southwest today. You will want to keep an eye on the RainRadar if you live in cities like Santa Fe and Albuquerque, N.M.
