Many in the East will need to add more layers on Monday and Tuesday now that a big spring cold front has moved through, leaving behind a blast of wintry air, so cold snow has been falling.

The TemperatureRadar shows highs only getting into the 30s and 40s across the Great Lakes and Northeast, with slightly warmer 50s in the Mid-Atlantic today. The real kicker comes Tuesday morning when near-freezing and sub-freezing minimum temperatures move in.

Minimum temperature records could be broken from southern Virginia to northern New York on Tuesday morning as the mercury gets down to the 20s and 30s, with teens forecast for the higher elevations in Vermont and New Hampshire. Records dating back more than 100 years could be broken.

That's not all. South Florida will also feel the effects of this big spring cold front, as highs only get into the upper 70s, which could also tie or break records dating back as far as the 1940s. Albeit, these are comfortable temperatures for this time of year!

Spring will quickly recover for the latter half of the week. Take a look at your local forecast for the details.
