Majestic auroras were visible from Europe and the northern and central U.S. Tuesday night, with another aurora show visible Wednesday night too.

They mostly danced across the sky in reddish to violet colors, and were often even visible to the naked eye. However, social media posts in Alaska and Scandinavia shows flowing green auroras above.

Driving this intense aurora episode is a particularly strong solar flare, which is still ongoing. The U.S.'s Space Weather Center says that the geomagnetic storm could intensify today as charged particles reach Earth with the solar wind and cause air molecules in the upper atmosphere to glow.

Tonight's forecast, as seen in the WeatherRadar, shows a clear sky across the north-central U.S., where aurora potential is highest Wednesday night.

Don't forget to upload your shots if you manage to spot them!
