Wear gloves – To stop the loss of moisture through your skin, wear warm, dry gloves outside and when driving. Sunscreen & sunglasses – Protect your exposed skin from sun damage by applying a broad-spectrum sunscreen to the face, ears and noses. Also, cut down the glare and risk of eye damage with sunglasses that provide UV protection too. Less hot showers -- Although hot showers feel great in winter, the heat can pull moisture out of the skin. Taking slightly cooler and shorter showers will slow down the process. Moisturizing after a shower —make sure you dry off first —helps return hydration to the skin.
