A strong high-pressure ridge is sending Desert Southwest-like heat into the northern Plains on Monday. In case the thermometer wasn't proof enough of the high pressure, just follow the clouds on the WeatherRadar.

A streak of clouds is stretching from the western U.S. into the Canadian prairies today along the top of the ridge. Check out the circulation!

The high-pressure ridge does move slowly, but it shifts east throughout the week. It will bring plenty of sunshine with heat! Watch the temperature pattern on the TemperatureRadar.
