The threat of up to 10 inches of additional rain looms over central Texas after historic flooding killed at least 89 people over the Fourth of July holiday weekend.

After devastating flooding in Texas's Hill Country over the weekend, more rain is forecast. Hard-hit cities like Kerrville and Hunt, Texas, are at risk of more flash flooding today.

The WeatherRadar shows scattered storms moving across central Texas today. There will be plenty of tropical moisture for these storms to tap into. Rain totals of 2 to 4 inches are possible, with some areas seeing up to 10 inches locally. Any storm that develops will be slow-moving, increasing the risk of additional flooding.

At least 89 people were killed by flooding over the weekend, including 28 children. Many of those children were at Camp Mystic in Hunt, Texas, which sits next to the Guadalupe River. The Guadalupe River, fed by torrential rain totals over one foot, rose 26 feet in 45 minutes.
