Severe weather hit various areas of Italy last week, but the most terrifying images have come from Campania, in southern Italy. Several towns in the Caserta and Avellino areas experienced flooding.

Severe storms rocked parts of Italy last week and caused significant damage in the Caserta and Avellino areas. Rainfall accumulations exceeded 3 inches in a very short time.

The villages most affected were Baiano, Mugnano and San Felice a Cancello, where the streets were transformed into raging rivers with cars swept away. Unfortunately, two people were reported missing and were dragged away by the flow of water and mud in San Felice a Cancello.
