Life-threatening flooding in Wichita

Numerous roadways flooded across East Wichita, Kan., this afternoon after 3-4 inches of rain fell in just a few hours. An additional 1-2 inches of rain is expected.

The WeatherRadar shows heavy rain moving through Wichita, Kan., today. With 3-4 inches of rain falling across East Wichita, Kan., flash flooding has been reported. Traffic cameras showed stalled vehicles in East Wichita.

Most of the flooding is occurring east of I-35. With an additional 1-2 inches of rain on the way, more flash flooding is expected. Avoid driving through flood waters and keep an eye on the WeatherRadar.
