Mother's Day Preview
Stay on top of the forecast for Mom!

Roses

Mother’s Day is just three days away and you’ll want to keep an eye on the forecast for any plans you have.

May is usually filled with spring showers, severe weather, and even Rocky Mountain snow. As Mother’s Day approaches, you’ll want to pay extra close attention to your handy weather companion to keep your plans going with the forecast in mind.

Most of the U.S. can expect quiet weather on Sunday except for the following spots – the central Rockies, the central and southern Plains, and the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast. We’re watching two weather systems that could move outdoor plans back inside.

Planning an outdoor brunch with the family? Have a backup plan. In the central Rockies as well as the central and southern Plains, showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast, with higher elevation snow possible in Colorado. Hopefully, Mom likes skiing!

The wet and stormy weather will spread from southern Nebraska down to Texas. Make sure to have at least three ways to receive a weather warning.

To the east, another weather system will be bringing showers and thunderstorms from the northern Mid-Atlantic to the Northeast. Make sure to pack an umbrella and rain boots if you have outdoor plans with the family!

As for the rest of the U.S., it will be mostly quiet. A few showers and thunderstorms are possible in the Upper Midwest and Upper Great Lakes in the afternoon and evening, so just keep a close eye on the WeatherRadar.

We’re not expecting any record heat or cold, but it will be toasty in Florida, the Southwest, and even the Midwest. Plan your outfits accordingly with the help of the TemperatureRadar.

Be sure to check back here for updates as Mother’s Day gets closer and make sure you have your app alerts switched on for the latest information.
