Knowing how much sunshine to expect can make all the difference when planning your day. Continue reading to see how the Weather & Radar Sunlight Hours feature can help.

The Sunlight Hours tool is your go-to for quick insights into how much sunshine you can expect throughout the day. It can help you plan outdoor activities or simply know what the skies will look like.

Within the 14-Day Weather Trend, right under the temperature forecast, Sunlight Hours presents each day as a color-coded square. Bright yellow means clear skies and plenty of sunshine, while gray signals overcast or mostly cloudy conditions. It’s an easy, visual way to see at a glance what kind of weather is coming your way.

Some squares also include weather symbols, offering even more detail. A lightning bolt means possible thunderstorms, while a rain cloud hints at showers. No icon? It’s likely going to be a dry day.

Pair this with the temperature forecast, and Sunlight Hours becomes a valuable tool for planning your week ahead. Whether you’re going on a hike, picnic, or just getting outside, you’ll know exactly what to expect.

Haven’t taken full advantage of Sunlight Hours yet? Check it out in your Weather & Radar USA app and let it help brighten up your daily weather planning.
