Severe threat for Plains, Mid-Atlantic

Powerful storms could bring damaging winds and large hail to parts of the Plains today into tonight. A few strong storms producing damaging winds may also impact the Mid-Atlantic.

The WeatherRadar shows strong storms forming today through tonight from the central High Plains into portions of the southern Plains. These storms may produce very large hail exceeding 2 inches in diameter, damaging wind gusts over 75 mph, and a few isolated tornadoes.
