The South is again facing the threat of severe weather, with dangerous tornadoes likely in the mix. This live blog will cover the significant weather threat millions face on Saturday and Sunday.

The tornado threat will increase this evening in Mississippi as this line of storms moves in. Even if you had severe weather earlier today, the threat will linger in Mississippi into the overnight.

5:30 p.m. CT

A violent tornado moved through McCall Creek, Miss., earlier today. A family narrowly escaped injury by seeking refuge in their bathroom.

5:00 p.m. CT

A suspected tornado caused major damage to businesses and homes and other structures in Porter Heights, north of Houston in Montgomery County, Texas.

4:30 p.m. CT

A massive wedge tornado was spotted moving through Gloster, Miss. There have already been at least 19 reports of tornadoes from Texas to Mississippi and the outbreak will continue into tonight.

A rare "particularly dangerous situation" tornado watch has been issued for parts of Arkansas, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas until 9 p.m. CT. Numerous strong tornadoes are expected.

Debris was spotted with the possible tornado in Katy, Texas, earlier today. This video is a good reminder to keep your distance and seek shelter if you see a tornado.

The best chances for tornadoes through the early afternoon will be in east Texas and western Louisiana.

12:30 p.m. CT
