Over 20 inches of rainfall has fallen in some places across South Florida since Tuesday, and more downpours and storms today could unleash more flood emergencies.

It won't take much for floods to redevelop in places where the water has subsided in parts of South Florida. Many areas woke up with flood waters still affecting their morning commute and properties, such as cars and even homes. The sun came up and put light on the many cars left behind in flooded waters after Wednesday's torrential rains.

This is not over yet. Half way there!

The forecast calls for more storms and downpours on Thursday, after noon ET. There could be an additional 10 inches of rain through Friday evening across South Florida, so please make sure to stay home or in a safe place. Flood watches have been extended until Friday evening, but there is a chance for storms on Saturday as well.

Excessive rain for Thursday.
