Who else is at risk?
Strong storms possible in Texas

A few strong storms will rumble in Texas today, with the severe threat pushing into the Upper Midwest, Central Plains, and Mid-Mississippi Valley through midweek.

A few scattered strong thunderstorms are possible across west central Texas today. This morning, showers and storms are moving across the Lone Star state and are visible on the WeatherRadar. Outflow boundaries from these storms will act as a focus for more activity this afternoon and evening.

Tuesday's severe risk

A slight risk, a level 2 out of 5 of severe storms, extends across west central Texas today and includes the city of San Angelo. Cities such as Austin, San Antonio, and Midland, Texas, are under a marginal risk, a level 1 out of 5 of severe storms. Damaging winds and hail are the main threats. A brief isolated tornado cannot be ruled out.

By Wednesday, the threat of strong storms moves into the Upper Midwest. Large hail, damaging winds, and even a tornado or two are possible on Wednesday in cities like Minneapolis, as well as Sioux Falls, S.D.
