Multi-day severe threat continues

Weather & Radar's Task Force is activated. The severe storm risk extends from Texas to New York. Large hail, damaging winds and tornadoes are possible, especially across the southern Plains. Flash flooding is also a significant concern today.

Meteorologist James West is operating the forecast desk and will be providing forecast updates for Weather & Radar. Federico Di Catarina will produce the impacts and expected threats via multimedia. Meteorologist Mary Mays will have frequent updates on our live blog, while meteorologist Irene Sans will be updating social media throughout the day.
