Not just one, but two post-tropical systems are bringing a deluge to the U.S. this weekend. Moisture from the remnants of Tropical Storm Rachel will bring downpours to parts of the West into early next week.

Rachel weakened from a tropical storm to a post-tropical system Saturday before making landfall in northern Baja California Saturday night. With plenty of tropical moisture still in the picture, downpours are a concern across portions of the Southwest and Great Basin as the weekend closes out and the new week begins.

Flooding is a major concern from Southern California into parts of southern Nevada, western Arizona, and southern Utah, where two to five inches of rain is possible, more than two months' worth.

Gusty winds are also a concern, with WindRadar showing gusts over 40 mph across the region. Moisture from Rachel will also help fuel a potent snowstorm across the northern Rockies.
