Tropical update: No tropical activity out there

How about we start off the week with great news!? Looks like there is nothing to watch across the tropical Atlantic.

There is no tropical activity expected in the next 5 days. Just for thought, on average we would name the 12th system by October 25 of which 6 would be hurricanes. We are slightly below average with 11 named storms and 5 hurricanes. And we are perfectly okay with that.

No worries, this is not the only area we watch. There is plenty happening in the United States this week and we are covering it all. There is a parade of fronts that will be sweeping across the eastern half of the United States that would push any tropical system away from the nation if there were one.
