Twister brought damage to central Texas

Hawley, Texas damage

In the video above, drone footage shows damage from an apparent tornado that hit near Hawley, Texas, late Thursday, May 2, 2024.

The local National Weather Service office for west-central Texas in San Angelo, Texas, reports the apparent tornado struck six homes and injured at least two. A survey of the damage will be done Friday to determine the strength of the tornado.

This was part of a bigger storm system about a dozen tornadoes across western and central Texas.
