Who's at risk today?
Video: Wildfire near Gatlinburg, Tenn.

On Wednesday morning, multiple wildfires burned near Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, Tenn., as gusty winds fueled the flames. Today, there is a risk of more fire danger.

The WindRadar was active yesterday as powerful winds swept across the eastern half of the country. Gusty winds helped fuel a 200-acre wildfire in Pittman Center, Tenn., just a few miles outside of the popular tourist town of Gatlinburg.

The WindRadar shows more gusty winds in the forecast today. Parts of New Mexico, west Texas and Florida will experience dry conditions and wind gusts 20-30 mph today. These conditions will increase the fire risk in these regions.

Fire danger in place today across the Florida Peninsula, New Mexico and west Texas.

The Southeast, parts of Texas, New Mexico and southeast Arizona will continue to see wildfire potential over the next 7 days. Stay alert, keep an eye on the WindRadar and avoid burning.
