As storms hit Wednesday
WATCH: Waterspout amazes FL onlookers

Florida onlookers were amazed to see a waterspout as they went about their Wednesday afternoon. Many were in awe of the event, wanting to get pictures and video.

Waterspouts are common off the coast of the Sunshine State with all the thunderstorm activity. Wednesday brought a picturesque scene as a waterspout formed off the Marathon, Fla., coast as storms hit the state.

A stubborn stationary front has kept Florida under stormy skies since early this week, and many of Florida's northeast coast residents are keeping an eye on the possible tropical activity through the Memorial Day weekend.
