Flooding, tornado threats
WeatherRadar shows what's left of Beryl

The remnants of Beryl will bring the threat of inland flooding and tornadoes across parts of the upper Mississippi Valley, lower Ohio Valley, and Great Lakes today.

Beryl made landfall as a Category 1 hurricane near Matagorda, Texas around 4 a.m. local time on Monday morning. Interestingly, Beryl was a prolific tornado producer. There were 17 reports of tornadoes across east Texas and into Louisiana on Monday. Beryl is still a tropical depression but will merge with a front later today and lose its remaining tropical characteristics.

Remnants of Beryl on WindRadar

The WeatherRadar shows what's left of Beryl spinning over Arkansas this morning. While this storm is a shadow of what it once was, it's still powerful enough to produce gusty winds, flash flooding and tornadoes. The tornado and flooding threats will extend across the mid-Mississippi Valley into the lower Ohio Valley.
