More snow ahead?
Winter wonderland in NYC

On Saturday, Central Park was a winter wonderland after 1.8 inches of snow fell. This is the first measurable December snow in New York City since 2021. A few more snowflakes may fall on Christmas Eve Day.

New York City had its first measurable snow of the season, as 1.8 inches fell in Central Park. This was the first measurable December snow in New York City in three years.

The TemperatureRadar shows temperatures in the single digits and teens across the Northeast this morning, and this cold air will help set the stage for more snow on Tuesday. The WeatherRadar shows snow showers across the Northeast on Christmas Eve Day.

The WeatherRadar is on the left, and expected snow totals (through Tuesday) are on the right.

Parts of the interior Northeast could see up to six inches of snow, however, a few tenths of an inch are expected in New York City. Keep an eye on the WeatherRadar for the latest forecast.
