With binoculars, that is
One last chance to see the comet

Tsuchinshan-ATLAS comet captured by William Demasi in Barbagelata, northern Italy.

This October, the Tsuchinshan-ATLAS comet graced our skies and could be viewed with the naked eye throughout the month. But now, you'll need some assistance.

The comet's location is much higher in the sky but is also much farther away from Earth compared to the last several weeks. If you have a pair of binoculars, however, you could still catch it in the western sky after sunset!

Those who caught glimpses or photos of the comet this month witnessed something spectacular. It lit up across the night sky, especially in places without light pollution.

Tsuchinshan-ATLAS has a long orbit and won't be visible to us on Earth for another 80,000 years. Maybe you'll see it in your next lifetime.

Check the WeatherRadar for clear skies for your last days of comet viewing!
