Raking the final leaves of the season is great exercise.

Thanksgiving is fast approaching and most trees have lost their leaves. This weekend is a perfect time to do one final sweep of the yard and clean up those leaves. So what can you do with them?

First off, you can leave any withered leaves on the flower beds and in planters as they will serve as frost protection over the winter and will provide nutrients to the plants.

You should aim to remove all the leaves on grassy areas, otherwise, you run the risk of unwanted moss growing. Just watch for any wildlife that could be hiding under any piles of leaves. Make sure you check with your local government for leave collection schedule so they can be used in mulch.
