Impacts from Beryl are being felt along the Texas coast while the hottest temperatures of the year expand across the West. Meanwhile, the East U.S. stays in a warm, stormy pattern.

The relentless heatwave across the West continues, with multiple record-breaking temperatures reported in several states over the weekend. As we head into mid-July, the heatwave will expand into the Central U.S., affecting the Plains and Midwest.

A low-pressure system will move north across the Upper Midwest, triggering showers and thunderstorms across the Mississippi Valley, Midwest, and Great Lakes region.
