How to track them
Fall fronts bring big changes

A big weather change could be headed your way! Cold fronts can bring everything from powerful storms to plunging temperatures, but how can you spot one before it arrives? The Weather & Radar app holds the clues!

A cold front can bring big changes, from gusty winds and thunderstorms to a noticeable drop in temperatures. Here's how to spot one.

Start with the WeatherRadar to watch bands of rain and thunderstorms develop and move along the front. As the system approaches, check the WindRadar for shifting winds and stronger gusts, which often accompany a frontal passage.

Finally, open the TemperatureRadar to see the cooler air moving in behind the front. Watch temperatures drop as the front passes, sometimes by 10 to 20 degrees or more.
