Big temp plunges return
Big late-week changes

The first half of the work week is going to be a quiet one across the U.S., but big temperatures drops are arriving later this week.

Today's daily briefing touches on the quiet weather across the U.S. The WeatherRadar shows rain heading into the Northwest and a few showers across southern Texas. The rest of the U.S. is mostly sunny.

Wednesday afternoon changes
Big changes arrive Wednesday across the Midwest.

On Wednesday, a dramatic shift in the weather pattern begins. A big cold front with polar air behind it will dive out of central Canada and into the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes. The TemperatureRadar shows temperatures dropping into the teens throughout the day. A few snow bursts will roll across the Great Lakes and East Coast as the front pushes East.

The polar air continues its southern and eastern push on Thursday. Daytime highs will be in the low to mid-30s as far south as Atlanta, with 50s and 60s across northern and central Florida. The cold weather continues through the end of the week with more arctic air arriving next weekend.
