Tranquil start of the week for most

Tranquil conditions are in play for much of the country to start the workweek. However, a few thunderstorms will be in play for the sunshine state, and unsettled conditions will impact parts of the Plains and upper Midwest.

Coldest April temperature on record

The temperature at Eagles Nest, NM, plunged to 45 degrees below zero to establish an April record for the United States.

Today's weather outlook

The WeatherRadar shows tranquil conditions across much of the U.S. to start off the workweek. However, thunderstorms are in the forecast for Florida, and parts of the northern Plains and upper Midwest will see showers today as a disturbance moves through.
