What you will see?
Easter Weekend preview

While Easter weekend will be pleasant for the South, parts of the West, Northern Plains, and Midwest will see some wet or snowy weather.

Easter weekend is almost here, and our WeatherRadar has a preview of what's ahead. Here's a breakdown of what you can expect this weekend, including the trouble spots.

Saturday's Forecast

Dry and comfortable conditions will reign supreme across the South and Southeast, where cities like Memphis, Tenn., New Orleans, and Atlanta will warm into the 70s. In Texas, including Dallas, highs will reach the 80s under a mostly sunny sky.

Saturday WeatherRadar

Conditions on the West Coast will be more unsettled. Our WeatherRadar shows a storm moving onshore on Saturday, bringing rain and mountain snow to California. Folks in southern California will want to be weather-aware, as heavy downpours could cause flash flooding and landslides. Some of the rain and snow from that system will push into parts of Nevada, Arizona, Utah, Wyoming, and western Colorado.

Another disturbance will be tracking across the southern Great Lakes and Ohio Valley into West Virginia on Saturday. Wet weather will be possible for parts of the central Appalachians, and snow from that system could impact the northern Great Lakes.

Sunday's Forecast

The WeatherRadar shows rain and mountain snow continuing for parts of California, as well as into Arizona, Wyoming, and southern Montana, as our storm system continues to push east. Some rain and snow will also move east of the Rockies. Parts of the Northern Plains may see snow on Easter Day, while Midwest egg hunts may be interrupted by thunderstorms.

You will want to keep an eye on the TemperatureRadar as well on Sunday. Highs will be above average across the Southern Plains into the Southeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Ohio Valley, with 60s, 70s, and even 80s being widespread in the afternoon. Some areas in South Texas will even make it into the 90s.

Cooler temperatures move into the Southwest just in time for Easter, including in Phoenix, which will see around a 20-degree drop in afternoon temperatures from Saturday to Sunday. The Northeast and Northwest will have a pleasant Easter, with highs in cities like New York and Seattle running a few degrees above average.
