Flooding hits Ozarks

Heavy rain and embedded thunderstorms hit the Ozarks and the Missouri Valley on Monday and Tuesday.

The WeatherRadar showed the heavy rain falling across northwestern Arkansas for much of Monday night and Tuesday morning, with Fort Smith, Ark., setting a new daily record.

This same system caused at least one tornado in Louisiana while bringing severe weather to the Deep South on this Election Day. USTornadoes.com says Election Day tornadoes do occur with a large percentage of them occurring in Louisiana.
