Hello, cold front
A welcome shift for the East Coast

It's no secret much of the Ohio Valley, Mid-Atlantic and Northeast have been locked in a cloudy and rainy pattern for several days. However, a change is upon us!

Getting tired of the constant humidity, the soggy grounds, and the gray skies? A cold front is on its way to make some changes over the next three days.

Today, the cold front is swinging across the Great Lakes before it makes its way into the Ohio Valley tonight through Wednesday morning. The WeatherRadar shows it will clear out the clouds and rainfall ahead of it, leaving behind the sunshine.

Later Wednesday, the cold front will inch its way toward the East Coast. Ahead of it, rain and clouds will spread across the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast - yawn - but as the northwesterly flow behind the front pushes in cooler, more dense air, the rain and clouds will shift east too. By Thursday, the front stalls a bit, but drier skies are in your forecast with even sunshine by the evening!

Not to be outdone, to welcome October, cooler temperatures are moving in behind the front. The Great Lakes and Ohio Valley will notice a 10-degree drop between Tuesday and Wednesday. Track the coming cooler air mass on the TemperatureRadar.
