The WindRadar shows gusty winds continuing throughout the rest of today and into tonight. These winds are creating blizzard conditions across the Upper Midwest and Great Lakes today and contributing to power outages and tree damage across the eastern half of the country.

Gusty winds and snow contribute to blizzard conditions.

Cities such as Des Moines, Iowa, La Crosse, Wis., and Marquette, Mich., will experience blowing snow and difficult travel. Even after snow ends, gusty winds will blow snow around and decrease visibility. If you plan to travel, check the WeatherRadar and the WindRadar before heading out.
