Forecasts are coming together and the cold air intrusion will begin Friday with the northern tier first on its freezing list. Places like Bismarck and Fargo, N.D., will reach their high temperature on Friday before lunchtime before the gusty, cold air begins spilling in during the afternoon.

The cold air will continue diving south and east throughout the next several days. By the beginning of next week, the cold air will intrude those as far south as Florida, with the coldest air bringing temperatures 25°F below average into the Appalachians and High Plains.
