More storms for the Midwest

A severe thunderstorm brought lightning and strong wind to Kansas City, Mo., on Tuesday, and more storms are in the forecast for the Midwest today.

Lightning streaked across the sky in Kansas City, Mo., on Tuesday, and similar scenes will be possible this afternoon and evening across the Midwest ahead of a potent cold front. The video above shows lightning in slow motion over the National WWI Museum and Memorial in Kansas City.

The WeatherRadar shows a line of strong storms pushes east across the upper Midwest this afternoon and evening. The most intense storms are expected across Minnesota, western Wisconsin and Iowa. Damaging winds, hail and a few tornadoes are possible in Minneapolis, La Crosse, Wis., and Des Moines, Iowa.
