Discover wind conditions anywhere with the WindRadar: Track gusts and forecasts easily

Learn about the WindRadar

With changing weather conditions throughout the year, we want to ensure you have all the tools necessary to stay safe—one of those is the WindRadar.

The WindRadar is the interactive map that you can use to explore wind gust conditions for your favorite locations worldwide. You can navigate to the radar by tapping the windsock symbol at the top right of your landing page. A map displaying wind data will appear!

The wind gust layer features two tools to help visualize conditions. The first is a shaded field color-coded to represent wind speed. Warmer colors like orange, red, and purple indicate stronger winds.

The second tool is a streamlined field, shown as small white streaks on the map. These streaks follow the wind flow, indicating the direction it's blowing. Remember, you can also view past and future wind conditions by toggling the interactive slider at the bottom of the map.

Feeling adventurous? Pan across the screen and check out the U.S. Plains, Patagonia in South America, or the South Pacific Ocean—some of the windiest places on Earth!
