A magnitude 3.9 earthquake shook New England on Monday morning. The epicenter was 12 miles east of Portsmouth, N.H.

Shaking was felt in coastal New England on Monday morning as a 3.9 magnitude earthquake hit 12 miles offshore of Portsmouth, N.H. The quake occurred at 10:22 a.m. local time, and shaking was felt from Portland, Maine, to Boston.
