Midwest
Low pressure triggers stormy skies

Low pressure triggers stormy weather.
Low pressure triggers stormy weather.

A low-pressure system scooting across the Great Lakes is set to trigger rain and thunderstorms, some becoming severe.

You can see it clearly on the WeatherRadar! A low-pressure system is churning across the Great Lakes on Tuesday, and it's already bringing rain and thunderstorms. As the low brings down cool, northern air, it's running into a warm, water-laden air mass in the Midwest. This clash will strengthen with afternoon heating.

Scattered severe storms are expected to develop from this disturbance, especially in northern Indiana.
