Mountain snow, heavy rain
Wintry weather arrives in the West

The Mountain West woke up to an autumn storm bringing snow, heavy rain and even thunderstorms.

The WeatherRadar shows a mix of snow, thunderstorms and rain all across the West from southern Montana to Arizona and New Mexico. If you live in any of these locations, chances are you've had a notification of some sorts telling you about the active weather!

The storm system is a lingerer. Some sort of wet or snowy weather will be seen on the WeatherRadar through the weekend. Those of you who have pumpkin patch plans will need to monitor the local forecast and keep an umbrella nearby.

This storm has brought a huge welcome change of pace across the Southwest where temperatures have been sweltering in the 90s and even triple digits. Phoenix, Ariz., has gone past 20 days reaching or surpassing record temperatures.
