While severe storms are possible throughout the day, the risk will ramp up after sunset. Very large hail is possible from northern Louisiana to Indiana. With the risk of strong tornadoes stretching from northern Mississippi to southern Indiana, it's crucial to stay alert tonight.

The threat of severe weather shifts east on Monday, with the threat extending from New Orleans to Albany, N.Y. The Southeast coastline will see the most favorable conditions for damaging winds, hail and a few tornadoes.
