Northeast U.S.
Clipper brings blinding snow squalls

An Alberta clipper is moving across the Northeast on Wednesday and while snow is always expected with these systems, sometimes blinding snow squalls come with them.

The WeatherRadar showed a long-stretching snow squall, which included thundersnow, moving across Pennsylvania and New York Wednesday morning. The National Weather Service issued a snow squall warning with it.

Killawog, N.Y., webcams showed the blinding snow squall just after 11 a.m. local time.

Snow squalls can quickly become dangerous as they can bring fast accumulating snow and drop visibility to zero.
