Yes, it will look smaller
Pink Full Moon tonight

April's full moon, known as the Pink Moon, will peak tonight but may look smaller than your typical full moon.

Peaking at 8:22 p.m. EDT Saturday night, the Pink Moon is also a micromoon. Typically, it appears 14% smaller and 30% dimmer than an average supermoon.

The term "micromoon" describes a full moon near the farthest point in the Moon's orbit around the Earth, known as the apogee.

Will you see the moon tonight? The WeatherRadar shows a clear sky throughout the central and southern U.S. However, skywatchers might not be so lucky looking to the East and parts of the West.
