Tropical update
Quiet this week, but perhaps not next

No tropical activity within the next 5 days.

We are 9 days from the official end of the hurricane season, at least on paper, and we are starting to wonder if this could really be it.

Although there is no tropical activity expected within the next five days, the American model is showing what could be a tropical low forming over the southern Caribbean early next week (by November 28).

The setup seems like, if a system were to develop, it would stay traveling west and likely impact Central America by the latter part of the week.

With stronger fronts making their way across the United States, there is a low likelihood that there could be anything else impacting the United States. No worries we will still monitor the tropics and bring you prompt updates. But so far, the season seems like it will be coming to a close soon, perhaps close to the official date. Of course, Mother Earth does not know about the calendar.
