Heat in the West
Record-breakers on TemperatureRadar

Record-breaking heat will continue across the West today, with numerous communities reaching the 100s and 110s once again.

In our Breakfast Brief we discussed the slight relief that will be on the way for some in the West by the end of the month. However, that relief isn't here yet for much of California, Arizona and Nevada, where record-breaking highs are still showing up on the TemperatureRadar.

Cities like Bakersfield, Calif., Flagstaff, Ariz., Las Vegas and Salt Lake City are once again within range or expected to break their record highs for the day. Dozens of records are in danger again on Friday in many of the areas expecting record highs today.

While record-breaking temperatures aren't in the forecast in the Southeast, the heat and humidity will lead to feels like temperatures in the 90s and 100s. Whether you are in the West or Southeast, it's important to take these dangerously high temperatures seriously.
