Record-breaking temps
Sweltering heat continues this weekend

1/3

The TemperatureRadar is turning red and pink for many over the next few days as unseasonable heat continues.

Highs in the 80s, 90s and triple-digits are spreading from California to the mid-Mississippi Valley today, with records going as far back as 1877 on the chopping block.

A large high-pressure system continues to keep air conditioners active. Highs are climbing at least 15 degrees higher than average through the weekend. Especially across the Southwest, residents are encouraged to stay hydrated, stay in the air conditioning and to check on neighbors and the elderly.

These triple-digit highs are about 3 months early for places like Phoenix and Tucson, Ariz. Keep a close eye on the TemperatureRadar to know when relief is on the way.
