The WindRadar is turning orange and red along the East Coast as the season's first Nor'easter comes together. For those along the Northeast Coast soaking in the last few days of September before we get deeper into autumn, coastal erosion and damaging gusts could interrupt plans.

The Marine Weather card in Toms River, N.J., notes waves more than 10 feet high with gusts in the 35-45 mph range over the next two days. Marine forecasts like this can be viewed in the app all along the East Coast, from North Carolina's Outer Banks through Provincetown, Mass.

While the waves and damaging gusts will be around for a while, especially as the storm organizes over the next few days, the rainy and stormy impacts aren't expected until this weekend. This, plus higher tidal patterns due to this month's full moon on Saturday, could cause coastal flooding.
